SMS Verbal Consent Process

TempoMatrix · Black Sparrow Studios LLC · October 23, 2026

Participating Studios may obtain consent verbally before sending transactional SMS about services a Client has booked or requested. This public description documents the process for messaging verification; it is not an opt-in form, and viewing this page does not record consent or send messages.

Example verbal consent conversation

Staff:

“Before we finish, would you like to receive text messages from [Studio Name] about your booking and session? These messages may include booking confirmations, appointment reminders, payment or deposit updates, and occasional post-session review requests. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages, or HELP for help.

Do you agree to receive these transactional text messages at the mobile number you provided?”

Client:

“Yes.”

Staff:

“Thank you. I’ll record your consent for that number. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out.”

Staff should identify the Studio collecting consent and make the Terms and Privacy Policy available. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing or booking services.

Recording consent evidence

The Studio records appropriate evidence of the conversation, such as:

Scope and opt-out protection

Consent must be obtained before transactional SMS is sent. Consent applies to transactional/service messaging, not promotional marketing. Marketing consent is outside this transactional consent process.

STOP suppression remains authoritative. An existing consent record does not override a subsequent opt-out. Reply STOP to stop SMS messages, START where supported to resume, or HELP for help. Staff must honor the current consent and suppression state before sending.

Mobile numbers and SMS consent/messaging data are not sold or shared for third-party marketing. See the Privacy Policy for permitted service-provider and legal disclosures.
